Pablo Iglesias encourages the left to unite “to bend the arm of Pedro Sánchez”

The former vice president of the Government and former leader of Podemos Pablo Iglesias assured this Sunday that if all the left-wing parties with representation in the Congress of Deputies unite “they have enough strength to bend the arm of Pedro Sánchez.”

In his speech at the “Autumn Uni” organized by the party, Iglesias has thus challenged the left-wing deputies to join Podemos to get the President of the Government to break relations with Israel and lower rental prices by law. the housing.

Thus, if the left really wants to “build unity”, they must join the four Podemos deputies in their claims to Sánchez, whom they will only support if he meets the two conditions raised this Saturday by the general secretary of Podemos, Ione Belarra.

“Everyone in Spain wants rents to go down and everyone wants Spain to do something real and not just gestures in the face of the genocide being carried out by the Israeli Government,” Iglesias assured before launching his appeal to the left-wing parties to do what Junts has already done, make their votes count to achieve amnesty.

In a round table to debate “the end of liberal democracy,” Iglesias stated that politics “is not just about principles, but about accumulating enough power so that principles become reality.”

He has stressed that “to do politics it is not enough to be right, you have to have power”, a maxim that the right has learned well, which “is present in all areas in which power is handled”, be it among the economic elites , media, judicial or military, he explained. For this reason, he has encouraged left-wing militants to “accumulate power,” because only by having power can specific objectives be achieved.
