And that same day, traffic will return to the A7, through the bypass that has been launched. And the Cercanías, most affected, although in this case it will be through an alternative bus service that will begin operating tomorrow, Wednesday.
Regarding the State’s highway network, DANA damaged a total of 160 kilometers. For now, traffic has been recovered on the A3, V30, V31, and National 3. “Work continues on national roads 330 and 322 where there are “collapsed structures,” he confirmed during an appearance in Moncloa.
At the moment, 139 kilometers have been recovered and this Thursday “the A7 detour opens, on the Valencia ring road.” A key bypass to recover normal circulation. “Our intention is to open it on Wednesday night, but we are at the expense of the meteorological situation that warns of new rains, we are completing asphalt, we are finalizing the signage,” he indicated. “Unless the weather is adverse, it will be open on Thursday.”
High Speed and Commuter
As for trains, Puente already confirmed yesterday that this Thursday the High Speed trains will run again between Madrid and Valencia.
In the case of Renfe, part of the trains will be used for relief work. “One or two cars of the first Renfe train will go with help,” said Puente. In addition, there will be “charter trains for the Army” to relieve those who are working in the affected area.
As for the Cercanías, lines C5 and C6 are in service, because they were not damaged by DANA. The rest of the lines will recover service, but through buses. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, 52% of the journeys will be made by train and 48% by bus, with 112 buses, which will make 1,022 circulations and reach 56,000 seats daily.
Puente has broken down that the C1 will be operational from Gandía to Silla, with frequencies of 30 minutes on weekdays and 60 minutes on weekends. Between Silla and València, the route will be made by bus, with a frequency of 10 minutes on weekdays and will be reinforced depending on demand.
Regarding C2, starting tomorrow it will be operational between Moixent and Carcaixent and the rest will be done by bus.
The “most affected” C2 will be made by bus from Utiel Requena to València and all intermediate stops, with one exception. “It will not be possible in Cheste, where it is impossible to establish an immediate stop yet,” Puente acknowledged.
