The group’s 48 Volt hybrid electrified powertrain Stellantis it is also available onOpel Mokka. The Hybrid version helps reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20% and at low speeds the car also travels electric mode.
Opel Mokka Hybrid 48 Volt hybrid
The 48 Volt hybrid drive of the new Opel Mokka is based on a configuration already present on many models in the Stellantis range (for example Jeep Avenger). Combines a petrol engine 1.2 liter PureTech turbo 100 kW (136 hp)an electric motor from 21 kW (28 hp) integrated into the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The system includes a 48 volt lithium ion battery which recharges automatically during deceleration, using the electric motor also as a generator. When accelerating and starting from a standstill, the electric motor assists the petrol engine, especially with the low speeds. At low speeds, the electric motor also allows all-electric driving for up to a kilometer or up to 50% of the time in the city.
Consumption and CO2 emissions
While the non-electrified Opel Mokka 1.2 Turbo with eight-speed automatic transmission requires 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers (CO2 emissions 137 g/km) according to WLTP regulations, the new Opel Mokka Hybrid consumes 4.9 liters per 100 km (CO2 emissions 110 g/km). In percentage terms the fuel saving is 20%.
To best manage the hybrid system while driving, you can select the driving modes Eco, Normal and Sport and as far as performance is concerned, the Mokka Hybrid accelerates 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 secondsreaching a maximum speed of 207 km/h.
