We had already seen the concept Opel Experimentalproposed by Stellantis to the Monaco Motor Show 2023where he presented future projects together with the new one Opel Corsa Electric and to the new one Opel Astra Sports Tourer Electric. This innovative electric crossover prototype is characterized by decidedly interesting lines, for an advanced look aerodynamic efficiencyspacious interior featuring lightweight seats and a sophisticated high-end head-up display.
Opel Experimental concept
Opel Experimental is a electric crossover without chrome, characterized by illuminated elements and futuristic graphics. Based on one Stellan BEV platform with four-wheel drive electric and an aerodynamic profile with decisive and clean lines.
The front features a Illuminated Opel Blitz logo in the center of the Opel Compass, while at the rear the brake lights form the Compass together with the Opel writing.
The front also houses the next generation of theOpel Vizor 4Dwith advanced vision technologies including integrated sensors, lidars, radars and cameras.

Opel technologies for the future
Opel Experimental presents itself with an elegant and aerodynamic silhouette that immediately suggests intelligent solutions such as i front and rear aerodynamic flaps, along with an adjustable rear diffuser that improve aerodynamics. The innovative TechBridge replaces traditional screens with augmented projection and voice control.
There is also natural lighting electrochromic fabrics which creates a welcoming environment, while responsive fabrics enhance functionality, such as blind spot warnings.
Detox and Opel Visionary
Not only do the external dimensions place the Opel Visionary in the C-segment, but also the interior is very spacious almost at D-segment level. This was made possible through the implementation of an innovative space (known as “ambient release“) inside the Opel Visionary.
The steering wheel automatically retracts when not in use, thanks to the technology steer-by-wirewhich significantly reduces weight by eliminating mechanical steering components.
In other details, the adaptive seats, lightweight and with a slim but robust design, combine advanced materials with fabrics equipped with 3D mesh technology. These ensure exceptional seating comfort, a hallmark of Opel vehicles, further helping to create a relaxing space inside the concept car.
Absence of chrome
One of the most fascinating aspects of the design seen on the Opel Experimental is theabsence of chrome. The introduction of illuminated elements and bold contrasting graphics add personality and refinement, giving a touch of originality to the proportions. The sleek profile features a bold, pure design, with clean surfaces that enhance the overall visual impact.
Absence of rear-view mirrors
The traditional rear-view mirrors have been replaced by fully integrated 180-degree cameras on the C-pillars, while the sharp, muscular wheel arches underline its bold character.
The front section is dominated by the brand new illuminated Opel logo located in the centre, representing the guiding element of the Opel design philosophy. The logo is surrounded by wing-like headlights that extend horizontally, while the illuminated central crease adds further visual impact.
This same motif recurs at the rear, where the Compass is outlined by the distinctive rear lights with relief lighting technology and the sophisticated transparency of the glass.
Wind deflectors at the front and rear help optimize aerodynamic efficiency, as does the diffuser at the rear, which extends or retracts depending on the prevailing driving situation. The tyres, the result of a collaboration with Goodyearare made using recycled rubber materials and mounted on 3-zone Ronal rims with an active functionality to further enhance aerodynamic efficiency.
The additional dimensions house cutting-edge vision technologies within it, including sensors, lidar, radar and camera systems.
