According to an announcement appeared on the official Twitter profile of Eiichiro Oda, one piece it will stop a month before the final saga. The pause will start from the number from the number 30 of Weekly Shonen Jump until 33 and then return to the field in number 34, more precisely from 27 June to 25 July.
Oda himself did not wait with his comment about this announcement, revealing that several months ago some people had warned him that this summer would be much more difficult than ever, as the premiere of the One Piece Film: Red (here our article), which we will see in Italian cinemas in autumn coincides with the 25th anniversary of the manga.
In order not to miss anything, Oda also had in his plans to travel to South Africa to supervise the filming of the live action TV series intended for Netflix. The people mentioned above had recommended a Eiichiro Oda to take a month off this summer but initially the teacher refused.
Considering subsequently all the foreseen commitments, and the fact that due to the Covid-19 pandemic it was not possible for the teacher to go to South Africa first, the same Oda he decided to retrace his steps and take a little rest, at least to prepare everything in the best possible way.
