The Juvenile Court of Santander has condemned the eldest son (15) of Silvia López Gayubas, the woman who was murdered in February in the Cantabrian town of Castro Urdiales, to six years of confinement in a center for the death of his mother. Silvia’s other son, 13 years old, cannot be charged because he is under 14, so he is admitted to a child protection center.
This has been recorded in a ruling to which the newspaper has had access. The Mail. This sentence means the maximum possible that is included in the Minors Law.
The body of the Cantabrian catechist was found at the beginning of February with signs of violence inside a car which was in the garage of the urbanization where he lived. Hours later, the Civil Guard confirmed the arrest of his two minor childrenwho had been missing, due to their involvement in the crime.

When the agents went to the family’s home, located on Monte Cerredo Street, they found a vehicle locked in the garage and, inside, the deceased woman: I was tiedgagged, with a bag over her head and with several stab wounds in the neck.
The children were found by the Police in the town’s Cotolino park, where they were hidden. Silvia and her husband, who at the time of the crime was away from Castro Urdiales for work, had adopted the young people in Russia.
