Among the getaways to do in autumn, many choose to go to charming medieval towns with impressive fortifications near the capital. However, for all those who enjoy the trip more, the train offers a very interesting proposal. Of all the routes offered, both from the highest points in Spain and those with the most natural landscapes, highlights a very traditional trip that connects Madrid with the historic town of La Mancha for less than 30 euros per trip.
Last October the Association of Friends of the Madrid Railway proposed a plan for this Saturday, November 16 and, although on Monday they announced that there were no tickets left, they have announced additional places so that no one is left wanting to get on the ‘Porridge Train’.
It is a trip that unites gastronomy and history on a route that goes from the capital to Alcázar de San Juan. The historic train features refurbished carriages dating back to the 1980s and promises an impressive experience with traditional food, perfect for a day trip.

The experience continues with a meal, included in the ticket price, at 2 p.m. where you can taste the traditional La Mancha porridge, as well as a barbecue. Finally, the trip will resume at 6:00 p.m., when the train leaves for Chamartín.
From the social networks of the Association of Friends of the Railway they have announced what will be the last places to take this route, which It is now on sale on Alsa from €27.95 and €15.20 for children.
