Formula 1 record world champion Lewis Hamilton was apparently an accident on a test drive for his new team Ferrari. As reported by the specialist portal Motorsport.com, the 40-year-old lost at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Wednesday at around 11 a.m. in the final section of the route to control his car and hit the stack of tires. Hamilton was probably unharmed – the Ferrari from 2023 seemed to be too damaged to continue.
The scuderia test has been completed by the public since Tuesday and is said to run until Thursday. The official test trips of all teams only rise in Bahrain from February 26th to 28th. Previously, a collective launch event for teams in London will take place on the first time in 75 years of the premier class.
The finished cars will probably not be seen there mostly, but the paints. The time of the joint presentations is quite early before the start of the season on March 16. Usually the race stables show their finished new racing cars on their own appointments. Ferrari will do this on February 19, Hamilton’s ex-team Mercedes on 24.
