Omar Govea’s first words as a Chivas player

The midfielder Omar Govea was announced as the first signing of Club Deportivo Guadalajara for the 2024 Apertura Tournament and the player immediately joined the club’s preseason in Cancun, to catch up with his teammates in the semester where they will compete for Liga MX and Leagues Cup 2024.

Upon arrival in Quintana Roo, the element from the Sultana del Norte offered an interview to Chivas TVin this way he gave his first statements being part of the staff of Fernando Gago.

“The team has behaved very well, there are good feelings with the group. Although I barely started to live with them, that was enough for me to know that it is a very healthy group, that it is a group that wants to achieve important things. They received me very Well, I already knew some of them. The truth is that, for my first hours, I feel very happy,” he shared.

The 27-year-old footballer completed his professional training at Club América but did not debut with the azulcremas, but rather when he was loaned to Miners of Zacatecas in 2014, a team with which he had minutes in the Copa MX, and later began his journey in Europe with the Porto B.

He stayed in Portugal for two years and then went to Belgium, as he was signed by Royal Excel Mouscronin that same country he also played in the Royal Antwerp and in the SV Zulte Waregem.
