I must not be in contact with anyone, ”Meylemans said in the video.

“My allowed to practice on a toboggan run alone. We are not sure if I will be allowed to return to the Olympic Village at all. This is, of course, very difficult for me. I ask everyone to give me time to think about what to do next. I am not sure if I will endure isolation during the Olympics. ”

Belgian According to Nieuwsblad The IOC intervened after hearing about the continuation of Meylemans’ isolation. The athlete has now been transferred to the Olympic Village, where he has his own room for seclusion.

Meylemans must follow the corona protocol, where he must live alone, eat alone, and move alone. He can practice and participate in the competition as long as everything happens according to the rules of the protocol.

The female skeleton bills are on February 11 and 12. The rehearsals start on Monday.

Before his corona infection, Meylemans was third on the world list. In 2019, he won silver at the Youth World Championships.
