Oil prices fell at the opening of Asian trading on Monday.
Brent crude futures fell 54 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $86.75 per barrel by 1218 GMT.
The May contract for US West Texas Intermediate crude, which expires today, Monday, fell 12 cents to $83.02 per barrel. The most active June contract fell 47 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $81.75 a barrel.
