One of the best video game adaptations of recent years is, without a doubt, The Last of Us by HBO. While many thought that the second season of this acclaimed production was still several years away, it seems that we will soon see these versions of Joel and Ellie once again, since a few moments ago the first official look at these characters was released.
Through his official Twitter account, Geoff Keighley shared the first two official images of the second season of The Last of Us for HBO. Here we can see Joel at Jackson’s party at the beginning of the events of The Last of Us Part II. Likewise, the second photo is focused on Ellie, although it is not entirely clear where she is.

The reception to this first look has been positive, at least when we talk about Pedro Pascal’s Joel, since his long hair makes the passage of time clear. However, the community has pointed out that Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie, looks identical to how she looked at the end of the first seasonand you cannot appreciate the time jump between the first and second game.
Unfortunately, at the moment there is no more information on this, and It is unknown when the second season of The Last of Us to HBOwhich will be in charge of adapting the events of The Last of Us Part II, although it is currently unknown if we will see the entire game in these episodes, or just the first three days of Seattle from Ellie’s perspective. I can’t wait to see how the series handles the two-protagonist narrative this time around. Likewise, I hope that this adaptation substantially expands some of the elements of the second game, as happened with the third episode of the first season.
