Octopus Energy prepares to carry out a strong increase in personnel in Spain. The company currently has 400 professionals and hopes to reach 700 at the end of this year to strengthen its growth in the country, where it has already exceeded 400,000 clients.
The company has announced its results of the financial year 2023-2024, ended on April 30 in which the group has achieved another solid year, with revenues that reached 12.4 billion pounds (14,894 million euros).
In December 2023, Octopus acquired Shell Energy Retail and successfully migrated 1.3 million new customers to its Kraken technological platform, in less than three months. The financial balance was strengthened with an increase in the net assets of 867 million, up to 2,041 million euros.
This increase is due to a capital investment of 754 million euros by the current investors of the group, who continue to support their global growth. In the United Kingdom, Octopus reached almost 7 million customers in April, of the 9 million it currently has. This growth is equivalent to a new customer every 30 seconds.
