Mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 was introduced in the Moscow region for workers in trade, catering, transport, MFC, beauty salons and fitness clubs. This was announced on October 12 by the regional health ministry.
Against the background of the spread of the coronavirus, the regions are tightening anti-epidemiological measures. So, obligatory vaccination for a number of categories was introduced by the Kurgan, Chelyabinsk and Saratov regions, Primorsky Krai, Tatarstan, the Jewish Autonomous Region (JAO).
A large-scale vaccination has been taking place in Russia since January. Citizens are vaccinated free of charge and voluntarily. Five vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, which became the first vaccine against COVID-19 in the Russian Federation and the world, as well as Sputnik Light, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N and KoviVak.
