The Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office Has revealed new details about the tragic case of the two minors who lost their lives in Escobedo after consume chicken in poor condition. According to Pedro Arce Jardón, in charge of the Prosecutor’s office, after carrying out a inspection on the bodies of children aged 3 and 5 years, the presence of food was ruled out in their stomachsfinding only liquids.
These findings coincide with the statement of the children’s father, who mentioned that both suffered from diarrhea and vomiting after consuming the product at home in the San Genaro colony. Furthermore, Arce Jardón reported that no signs of abuse or violence were found in the bodies of minors.
Currently, the Prosecutor’s Office is awaiting the results of the chemistry and pathology studies to legally determine the cause of death. This process is being carried out in coordination with the state Health Secretariat, which is assisting in the analysis of the foods involved in the incident.
It is a little slow due to the process itself, here we are coordinating with the Ministry of Health who are helping us in the process, especially on the issue of food, I hope at the beginning of next week at the latest we can have scientific results to be able to establish the conditions and causes (of death of minors), commented Arce Jardón.
It was last May 5 when the brothers, aged 5 and 3, were found dead in their home, after suffering alleged poisoning after consuming food purchased through a home delivery application from a chicken business called “Chickens El Matón”.
