The Spaniards are clear that artificial intelligence (AI) has come to stay. But, despite believing that it has many benefits for medicine (66%) and for industry (62%), more than half would never get into an autonomous car or undergo a medical operation carried out by a robot. This follows from the study of the Sociological Research Center (CIS) on Artificial Intelligence, published this Friday.
The survey also reflects that 93% of the population is “very or quite agreed” that companies and organizations should inform when they use the instead of human beings, as well as that 94% believe that programming and intertwining of these technological models must be regulated.
As for other human actions that could end up being replaced by robots, one of the ones that would most bother Spaniards would be to speak with artificial intelligence, for example, in an information or customer service service.
