Famitsu magazine published the Japanese charts this week, which see the usual dominance of Nintendo Switchwith PS5 which is struggling in second position and the Xbox Series which seems almost evanescent.
On a software level, the first position is occupied by the otome visual novel Utakata no Uchronia for Nintendo Switch, which debuted with 11,553 copies sold. The omnipresent follows Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, practically a permanent presence on the Japanese charts, alongside Princess Peach: Showtime!, which sold 11,736 copies. Consider that between the first and third position there are less than a thousand copies, for a week of not exactly exceptional sales in stores. The only PS5 game in the top 10 is Rise of the Ronin, which sold only 6,985 units, stopping in sixth place.
On the hardware side we have the OLED model of Nintendo Switch which beats everyone with 58,336 units sold, to which those of the standard and lite versions of the console must be added, which bring the grand total over seventy thousand units. PS5 sells just over 20,000 units overall, while Xbox Series are under 3,000 units, with the cheaper Series S performing worse than Series X.
