Nintendo has updated the Nintendo Switch sales data and once again we are talking about truly impressive figures. In fact, sales of the console have reached quota 139.36 million units worldwide as of December 31st, with a increase of 6.9 million compared to the previous quarter.
During the same period, 66.87 million games were sold, bringing the overall total to over 1.2 billion units. In this sense, Super Mario Bros. Wonder proved to be a success for a long time 11.96 million copies. Super Mario RPG also did well, at 3.14 million copies.
The overall numbers for the first nine months of the current fiscal year (from April 1 onwards) speak of a total of 13.74 million units of hardware (a decline of 7.8% compared to the previous year) and 163 .95 million software units (a decrease of 4.7% from the previous year).
Overall revenue reached 1,394.7 billion yen, with sales outside Japan of 1,097.5 billion yen ($9.4 billion) accounting for 78.7% of the total. Operating profit was 464.4 billion yen ($3.1 billion) and ordinary profit was 567.3 billion yen ($3.8 billion).

The Kyoto company also updated the ranking of the 10 best-selling games ever on Nintendo Switch, which once again sees the immortal Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in first place, with a clear gap compared to second and third place, occupied respectively by Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros.
