Nintendo’s case against Yuzu has been one of the most important legal events of the year. In the blink of an eye, one of the most famous emulators in the switch It closed its doors, and its owners, Tropic Haze, have to pay a fine of $2.4 million dollars. However, this hasn’t stopped thousands of people from creating Yuzu clones, even when the Big N is already taking legal action against these copies.
Since the closure of Yuzu, more than 8,500 people have created clones of this emulator, and while it seemed that Nintendo planned to leave this group alone, it was recently revealed that the Big N has issued more than 8,500 digital content takedown notices, or DMCAfor the complete removal of these software on GitHub.

Although at the moment there is no response from GitHub, or some of those responsible for the thousands of emulators, Nintendo has made it clear that it is willing to take all measures to completely remove these pieces of software, regardless of whether when deleting one, two or three more arise. On related topics, Yuzu creator blames fans for the closure of the emulator. Likewise, the judge speaks about this controversial case.
Author’s Note:
It is clear that Nintendo does not want Yuzu to have a single trace of life. However, they are running into a very stubborn community that is doing everything they can to keep this emulator alive, and the end result could end very badly for both sides.
