Nintendo announced that it had closed a deal with Embracer Group for the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Shiver Entertainmenta Miami-based developer.
“Shiver is a company that develops software for various platforms, including Nintendo Switch”we read in the press release. “Since its founding in 2012, Shiver has collaborated with publishers and developers through commissions to develop large-scale titles and, recently, has worked on porting software titles such as Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1. Nintendo will acquire 100% of the shares of Shiver and will make it a wholly owned subsidiary. By welcoming Shiver’s experienced and knowledgeable development team, Nintendo intends to secure high-level resources for porting and software development. In the future, even after joining the Nintendo group, Shiver’s goal will remain the same, to continue porting and software development commissions for different platforms, including Nintendo Switch.”
The acquisition is currently on hold and will be completed once all preconditions are met.
