On Instagram, deputy claims to have posted content in which he alleged fraud in the electoral system
The elected federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) had the account in the twitter suspended this Friday (4.Nov.2022). The profile appears as “withheld” by court decision after Nikolas posted allegations that would point to alleged fraud in the presidential elections.
On Instagram, Nikolas published a print with the notification issued by Twitter. According to the message, the account was suspended at the request of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court).
Earlier this Friday, the elected deputy posted a live made by Argentine Fernando Cerimedo in which he says that versions prior to the 2020 model of the electronic voting machine would not be auditable and accounted for fewer votes for the president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The suspicion was also mentioned by deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) on twitter.
“I basically transcribed what the Argentine said on Twitter and that’s probably why they took down my account, with almost 2 million followers”, said Nikolas on Instagram. He defined the decision as “surreal” and said he had contacted lawyers to learn about the process.
The claims are not true. In May, the Evaluation Committee of the TPS (Public Safety Test) issued a report proving the safety and integrity of electronic voting machines.
The Armed Forces and 3 other inspection entities also signed the zeroth of the vote tally systems last Sunday (30.Oct). The document serves to prove that there is no vote computed in the machine before voting begins.
In addition to Nikolas, the deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) also had their social media accounts suspended. According to Zambelli, the suspension is due to a decision by the TSE, but there is nothing published in the Electoral Court website. Decisions on taking down the congresswoman’s social media accounts are confidential.
O Power 360 sought the TSE to comment on the case and talk about the reason for the suspension of the deputy’s Twitter, but received no response until the publication of this report.
