After years of development it is finally Nightmare Kart available for free download by LWMedia, better known as Bloodborne Kart. So, if you can’t wait to speed around aboard your kart in a gothic world full of bloodthirsty creatures, now you can do it without spending anything.
Like many indie titles, Nightmare Kart was born almost as a joke as a project for a Bloodborne-themed game with PS1-style graphics. The initiative had such resonance that the developers decided to make it a complete game, free of course.

Unfortunately, Sony requested a name change due to copyright infringement, evidently driven by the success of the game. Anyway, now we have the full version, freely downloadable from itch.io and coming soon to Steam too, to the delight of those who don’t play without Gabe Newell’s approval.
In Nightmare Kart the player plays the role of a monster hunter, forced against his will to participate in a bizarre local custom: a tournament in which participants race on mysterious steam vehicles. It doesn’t matter which universe you come from, the important thing is to compete.
All you have to do is speed through gothic, blood-filled streets aboard one of the 12 unique vehicles in the game, searching for answers to the origin of this nightmare. Wield powerful weapons to reduce your opponents to scrap, slaughter monsters to increase top speed, perform stunts and drifts to generate Aether to use as turbo, and overcome terrible bosses to reveal the secrets behind this terrible nightmare.
