Nightingalethe neo-Victorian survival game developed by Inflexion Games, will hold one stress test on Fridaybut will last only three hours.
To participate in the Nightingale stress test, you need to visit the Steam page and click on the “request access” button. Inflexion will begin granting access at 6pm on February 2, and servers will go live an hour later at 7pm. The test will end at 10pm. The times are Italian.
Everyone who signs up should be eligible: even if you aren't invited right away, other players will be invited to participate in groups as the test unfolds, based on factors such as the number of people playing and how well the servers are running. This obviously means that you must be ready to seize the opportunity, in case it arrives late.
The playtest will not be subject to NDA (non-disclosure agreement), so players will be able to make videos and share screenshots, but if you do Inflexion asks you to make sure it's “explicitly obvious” that the content is based on the stress test and not the full version.
What will we find in the Nightingale testing phase
The test will contain “a customized version of the initial Nightingale gameplay experience” which will provide players with upgraded tools and gear and a number of unlocked recipes roughly equivalent to those that can be collected in the first 10 hours of Nightingale. According to Inflexion, players will also be able to immediately join the friends in cooperative.
The team explains “This will be a different experience than the one players will encounter when they first enter the Realms on February 22, but we wanted the stress test to offer a few more tools and resources early on in the journey to give players a taste of what awaits them before the our launch later in the month. There are no limits placed on the build, so anyone in the Realms will be able to play as long as the servers are online and functioning.”
Finally, here's a 20-minute gameplay video of Nightingale.
