The electoral campaign of Mr Brexit, Nigel Farage, is not starting off on the right foot, as yesterday – in a surprise move – he announced that he will run in next month’s general elections. A woman threw a drink, something similar to a milkshake, in his faceas he left the ‘Moon and Starfish’ pub in Clacton.
The Reform UK leader met journalists at the pub after holding a crowded rally at Clacton Pier during which he was challenged by a group of people. Some shots published by British sites show the woman throwing the drink at him from close range and hitting Farage on the face, hair and dress as she headed onto his campaign bus. The woman, who is 25 years old and originally from Clacton, was arrested.

It is not the first time that Farage has been challenged in this way. A similar episode saw him protagonist in 2019 in Newcastle during the campaign for the European elections. The man who drenched him with a banana and salted caramel drink was ordered to pay the then leader of the Brexit Party £350.
