Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, the new MMO developed using the style of the masterpieces made by the legendary Studio Ghibli, will support NFT. This was announced by the same software developer house, the South Korean Netmarble. Indeed, their goal is to implement them no later than the end of this year.
Here are the words of the developers:
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds uses a gameplay-based blockchain system, giving players who love it the opportunity to play to earn tokens through the game. Players can acquire two types of tokens and our team will do our best to preserve their value.
Basically, the more you play, the more you earn. This system, according to some players, is already creating huge disparities in PvP. For this, on the Discord of the title, users are clamoring for the removal of this feature. If we add to this the desire to implement NFTs, even if it is still not clear how these tokens will work in the game, the risk of unbalancing it is more than real.
Netmarble, to tell the truth, has developed blockchain-free versions of some of its titles over the years, such as Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Maybe, even Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will receive a version without blockchain in the future and, above all, that will not support NFTs.
We’ll see, what we can say at the moment is that the game is enjoying great success. Aestheticsclearly inspired by the masterpieces of Hayao Miyazaki and the late Isao Takahata such as Hawl’s Moving Castle, The Enchanted City, Porco Rosso and so on, allowed users to immerse themselves in a wonderful fairy world.
For those who do not know what we are talking about, the latest effort from Netmarble has a classic MMO RPG-style operation. You will be asked to choose a class, each with advantages and weaknesses, and the combat system is the most classic of hack and slash.
