The ’10’ of the ‘Canarinha’, focused on trying to win the sixth championship in the Qatar World Cupreleased a 13-second clip on the TikTok network in which he is seen repeating a ‘jingle’ from the president’s campaign.

“Vote, vote and confirm: 22 is Bolsonaro”, repeats ‘Ney’, 30, in relation to the number of the president’s candidacy, which faces the leftist former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silvafavorite in the polls.
A few minutes later, Bolsonaro replied part of the video on his Twitter account, accompanied by a message of thanks in which he promoted his re-election and the sixth world title in Qatar. “Thank you @neymarjr!” he wrote.
The attacker, who in the images also forms the number 22 with his fingers, made the publication on his account with 8.1 million followers a day after sending a video to Bolsonaro in gratitude for visiting the headquarters of the Neymar Jr Institutea center for children founded by the crac in Praia Grande, in the state of Sao Paulo.

This Thursday’s video of the top figure of the five-time champions breaks the silence of the footballers of the Brazil’s selectionwhose popularity has declined in recent years, on the polarized presidential election.
The shirt of the Brazilian soccer team, which bears the green and yellow colors of the flag, has been used in recent years by supporters of the president in demonstrations and rallies.
In the campaign, Lula has made efforts to “rescue” the national symbol from conservative sectors.
Defender of ‘Ney’
But Neymar’s position is not the first interference of the beautiful game in Bolsonaro’s campaign. A month ago, the president published a photo next to a ball that he, he said, the star gave him. Both have met at least once, in 2019, when they hugged before the semifinal match between Brazil and Argentina for the America Cup in Belo Horizonte.

An injury deprived ‘Ney’ of playing in that competition, won by ‘Canarinha’ in the final against Peru and whose celebration was joined by the president on the pitch of the Maracana.
The physical ailment coincided with the complaint of a woman who accused him of rape, although the case was later filed due to lack of evidence. Bolsonaro, at the time, defended the player’s innocence.
Target of attacks by Bolsonaro’s followers on social networks for his position in favor of the covid-19 vaccine, the Brazilian coach, Tite, has defended the freedom of soccer players to demonstrate.
“We do not restrict anyone,” said the DT in a recent interview with the UOL Esporte portal.
Amid the traditional silence of soccer on politics, some Brazilian soccer figures positioned themselves in favor of Bolsonaro, such as Tottenham (ING) midfielder Lucas Moura, who has not played with the national team since 2018.
