The 22-year-old accused of infanticide following the discovery of two newborns buried in a villa in Vignale, in the province of Parma, comes from a “respectable” family
The family picture is one of absolute respect: father entrepreneur, mother employee, and she, a young girl of 22, enrolled in the faculty of Law. “Apparently an unsuspecting family, integrated into the territory, who lived in a wealthy context. The discovery of the body of a second child is a further boulder that has shocked our community.”
The charge of infanticide: who are the parents of the first newborn?
Genetic tests have confirmed it: the 22-year-old girl is indeed the mother of the newborn found buried last August 9th, as she herself admitted.
The little boy’s father is a peer of the young girl, her long-time boyfriend, resident in the same hamlet of Vignale, but who declared that never having known about the pregnancy. A condition that even the young woman’s friends and relatives were unaware of.
Possible presence of accomplices
There are legitimate doubts about how the girl could have kept her pregnancy a secret from her boyfriend for so long and how she managed to give birth on her own.
Regarding the possibility that some people may also be involved in this terrible incident accomplicesthe mayor explained:
“Complicity on the part of someone in giving birth? Yes, this rumor is also going around: that she didn’t do it all by herself. A sect? At this point I can’t say anything.”
The young woman’s confession
Currently, the only person under investigation for infanticide is the 22-year-old mother, assisted by a lawyer from Reggio Emilia. Investigations are underway by the Parma Public Prosecutor’s Office to ascertain the exact dynamics of the pregnancies and their tragic epilogue.
It is assumed that the sure-fire discovery of the second newborn by the RIS, which occurred last September 12, is the result of a further confession from the young woman.
