On March 1, new rules for the construction of cottage settlements came into force in Russia. From now on, the legislation on shared construction extends to the suburban housing market, reports RIA News.
Accordingly, now developers of suburban settlements are required to comply with the same norms of the law on shared construction as developers of apartment buildings. This includes, among other things, the use of escrow accounts. The new procedure applies to companies that raise funds from equity holders. You can build houses on your own without using the escrow mechanism.

According to S&K Vertical lawyer Irina Oreshkina, the new suburban construction rules will help increase the volume of low-rise buildings commissioned. “Their construction will become more structured,” the lawyer promised.
Earlier it became known that 52 percent of Russians would like to buy housing outside the city, 31 percent already own it, 17 percent do not want to buy this type of real estate in principle.
