Opel presented the new Grandlandan elegant and dynamic vehicle, characterized by spaciousness and versatility, and equipped with a full range of powertrains electrified: 100% electric, Hybrid and plug-in. Born on BEV native STLA Medium platform and in the electric version with 98 kWh flat battery it has an autonomy that approaches i 700 km in the WLTP cycle. This model also incorporates many of the design features introduced on the Opel Experimental concept carlike the 3D Vizor with the illuminated Blitz logo in the center and the illuminated “Opel” writing on the back.
The new Opel Grandland in size it is larger than the previous generation, with an increase of 173 millimeters in length, 19 millimeters in height and 64 millimeters in width, now measuring 4,650 x 1,905 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height).
Mount large 20 inch rims and features a distinctive front with the new 3D Vizor and the compass motif, similar to the Opel Experimental. The “Intelli-Lux Pixel Matrix HD” light, with 51,200 pixels for high-resolution light distribution.

Inside the new Opel Grandland, occupants are greeted by a bold, clean design, combined with a warm and engaging ambience. The cockpit layout emphasizes a horizontal themeincreasing the feeling of spaciousness, while the central display gives 16 inches and the high center console give a sporty feel.
The large and fully digital instrument panel, together with theIntelli-HUD head-up display, provides essential information for concentrated driving. You can activate it manually or automatically Pure mode, reducing distractions when driving at night or in the rain. The side air vents integrated into the doors visually accentuate the width of the dashboard.
The upper part of the dashboard is divided into two surface finishes, while the “edge light” adds a precise execution of color and light similar to that of glass. The ergonomic seats AGR from Opel, with electric cushions, offer comfort and support, while rear passengers enjoy more legroom. The interiors are made with recycled fabrics at 100%. The versatility of the interiors is guaranteed by innovative solutions, such as Pixel Box with wireless smartphone charger and over 35 liters of internal storage compartments.
New Opel Grandland engines
The new Opel Grandland is born on the platform Stellantis STLA Medium, designed for battery electric vehicles. It will be available in several variants, including fully electric, plug-in hybrid with a range of approximately 85 km and 48 volt hybrid with the tried and tested 1.2 Puretech 136 HP with an electrified 6-speed DSG.
The fully electric version has two options: the “Standard Range” with 213 HP with front-wheel drive e 73 kWh batterywith an autonomy of 504-524 kmand the “Dual Motor” with all-wheel drive and up to 326 HP with the same battery and similar autonomy. There “Long Range” features a front engine from 231 HPbattery from 98 kWh and a maximum autonomy of 700km. Fast charging up to 80% takes approx 30 minuteswith a maximum power of 160 kW.
Suspensions, set-up characteristics
The new Opel Grandland is equipped with shock absorbers with technology selective damping in frequency which allow it to mechanically adapt the damping force based on the frequency, creating a second hydraulic circuit in the shock absorber chamber. This technology provides different damping characteristics, providing a comfortable response at high frequencies, such as on cobblestones or manholes, and a sporty driving style with more direct contact with the road at low frequencies.
The vehicle reacts quickly and directly to the driver's commands, remaining stable when brakingwhen cornering and at high speed on the motorway, thanks to the specific tuning of the springs, stabilizer barsteering and ESC, emphasizing Opel's sporting DNA.
Opel ADAS on the new Grandland
The new Opel SUV is equipped with a wide range of driver assistance systems as standard, such asAutomatic Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, theExtended Traffic Sign RecognitionL'Intelligent Speed Adjustment and theIn Crash Braking. Furthermore, the system is available upon request Intelli-Drive 2.0which integrates numerous electronic assistants, including semi-automatic lane change assistance and recommended speed adaptation.
This system allows the Opel Grandland to drive in the desired lane with small automatic movements steering when the lane is clear and to adapt the speed based on the limits detected. Intelli-Drive 2.0 uses both sensors and over-the-air information. Furthermore, parking is made easier by the front and rear parking pilots, the rear view camera with function automatic cleaning and the 360-degree Intelli-Vision camera.
Price, how much does the new Opel Grandland cost
The price of the new Opel Grandland is close to 45,000 euros for the hybrid version, while for the fully electric one the 50,000 euros. It is expected to arrive in Opel dealerships in late summer or early autumn.
