After i rumors of recent weeks comes confirmation that the Electric Fiat 500 produced a Mirafiori it will also have a thermal soul, more precisely hybrid. But compared to what we had hypothesized, the new 500 hybrid will not mount the 48 Volt PureTech derived from the former PSA, but the three-cylinder 1.0 FireFly which already equips the current 500 and the mild-hybrid Panda.

The hybrid engine that will be mounted under the hood of the new Fiat 500 is the three-cylinder N3 Fireflyproduced in Termoli, combined with a gearbox built in Mirafiori.
The new 500 hybrid, which is born on the platform Stla Citywill mount the 1.0 three-cylinder from 70 HP and 95 Nm mild hybrid, FireFly, which ensures a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 14 seconds and a top speed of just under 170 km/h.
In addition to the engine, Fiat engineers will also focus on the development of the chassis, which will be updated to adapt the car to thermal engines. So long as the battery is no longer included housed in the floor, it will be necessary to update the chassis, improving the weight distribution to obtain a better balance.
When it arrives, price
The arrival of the new 500 hybrid, which will be produced in Mirafioriis expected between 2025 and early 2026. The starting price could be between between 18,000 and 20,000 eurossimilar to the current one 500 Hybrid just left the scene, which on the contrary was produced in Poland.
According to Fiat’s plans, the 500 hybrid should dominate the market until 2029definitively leaving room for electric starting from 2030.
