A unified platform for owners of all current compatible models. And the new MyŠkoda app, a system that introduces awide range of new features, including intelligent services such as Pay to Park and Pay to Fuel. Not only. The integration of Powerpass simplifies the process of charging the Bohemian company’s electrified vehicles by consolidating these services into a single application. Among other things, the digital certificate can now be downloaded directly from the app and represents an important added value when reselling the vehicle. “We are improving the functionality of the MyŠkoda app, migrating the features onto a single digital platform,” says Martin Jahn, Škoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing. “With the integration of Powerpass, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle customers have direct access to over 660,000 charging points across Europe. And with smart services like Pay to Park and Pay to Fuel, we are making their daily lives even easier.”
MyŠkoda app: new features
Through the new Track & Explore feature, which offers real-time information on the production status of the vehicle, the customer can for example know at what stage the production of their car is at. With Pay to Park, which is already operational in Italy, it is possible to identify the closest parking areas and allows payment in various European cities. Pay to Fuel instead allows you to make automatic payments at selected petrol stations, avoiding queuing at the checkout.
MyŠkoda App: Powerpass integration
For drivers of Enyaq models and others with PHEV engines, the new MyŠkoda app offers the Powerpass charging network which guarantees access to over 660,000 charging points across Europe thanks to partnerships with over 870 suppliers. It also simplifies the management of home charging solutions, with Škoda iV wallbox systems. The app also offers the ability to manage charging plans, use the Plug & Charge function and view charging history. Existing Powerpass users can download or update the MyŠkoda app, access the Powerpass section and confirm the connection to their Škoda ID for a fully automatic data transfer. Checking the charging status of the Škoda Enyaq from home or activating the climate control before setting off are just two examples of the extended functionality of the new app. “At Škoda Auto, we put our customers first and strive to make their journey as smooth as possible,” concludes Martin Jahn. “Listening to their feedback is essential to improving the user experience inside and outside the car.”
