For Alfa Romeo the time has come to re-enter the super sports segment. The CEO of the Alfa Romeo, Jean-Philippe Imparato confirmed that the brand will have its very high performance car, specifying that it will not be just a simple model devoted to performance but a real hypercar. The mind immediately goes to the 8C project which was part of the 2018 industrial plan presented by Sergio Marchionne and which had never seen the light of day. What it should be called Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale however in this case it will materialize, with 2023 which will be the fundamental year for this car.
At the moment we don’t know much information but the hypercar nature and Alfa Romeo’s need to remain a profitable brand, to continue to convince the Stellantis group to invest, will make this model a limited edition car. There should therefore be only 33 specimens, with a style that will pay homage to the car produced by the Biscione between 1967 and 1969 in just 18 units. In line with the desire to make the most of synergies within the group, the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale will use the same platform as the basis of the Maserati MC20. In this way it will be possible to have both endothermic versions and a fully electric variant with a power exceeding 700 HP. As for the declension with the traditional enginethere is talk of an enhanced version of the 2.9-liter V6 which on the Giulia GTA has come to deliver 540 HP.
Being a limited edition hypercar, too the price will be suitable for the type of car. For this reason, the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale should have a starting price of at least 1.5 million. According to some rumors, this car could even touch 1.7 million euros. An exclusive and collectible model, ready to make the hearts of enthusiasts beat faster.
