Netflix and Shondaland organized a worldwide event for fans of The Bridgertons. It was a unique opportunity in which they were able to share opinions with Julia Quinnauthor of the novels that inspire the series, and with some members of the cast of this second season: Nicola Coughlan, Simone Ashley, Charithra Chandran and Golda Rosheuvel.
At the event, they commented on the success of the first season, talked about the second (which already has a release date) and what is to come for Lady Whistledown and the rest of the characters. In addition, fans have been able to enjoy, for the first time, the never-before-seen images of the series, the first video teaser – trailer and the official poster.
What will the second season of The Bridgertons be about?
This second season is based on the viscount who loved methe Julia Quinn novel that follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the oldest of the brothers and a viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony searches for someone who meets his standards until Kate (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) Sharma arrive from India.
When Anthony begins to pursue Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions – a true love match is not one of his priorities – and decides to do everything she can to stop the union. But in doing so, sheVerbal clashes between Kate and Anthony only bring them closercomplicating things for both parties.
When does the second season premiere?
The Bridgertons season 2 will hit the screens of Netflix next March 25.
