Netflix and Roblox have announced that they have launched an exciting innovation in the world of digital entertainment: the Netflix Nextworld virtual theme park. The collaboration between the streaming giant and the world of Roblox has created a unique experience, transforming the most beloved series and films into three-dimensional interactive adventures.
Netflix Nextworld in early access presents itself as a digital theme park that fans can explore in the different thematic areas, faithfully reproduced in the settings, to immerse themselves in the universes of their favorite television series.
There are currently three exploration worlds connected by a central hub. Thematic spaces include “Stranger Things: Escape from Hawkins High“, “One Piece: East Blue Brawls” And “Rebel Moon: Outskirts Battle“, each populated by iconic characters such as Dustin, Monkey D. Luffy and Jimmy. Inside the digital park it will also be possible to engage in thematic mini-games. During exploration and play, players will be able to collect objects and accessories taken from different shows and films, which they can use to personalize their “Fan Pod” — a home base that is private or open to visits from friends. Below is the launch video.
Netflix Nextworld plans to host global events and premieres: “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” premieres May 17.
Nextworld’s announcement follows a few days after the other big news that Roblox has made official, allowing its business partners to spread video ads on its platform. This historic opening will allow brands to reach Generation Z of Roblox users estimated at just over 37 million out of the 73 million total daily active users on the platform.
