Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Nebenzya announced the degradation of the situation with nuclear safety at the ZNPP
Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the situation with nuclear safety at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP) has degraded in recent weeks. This is reported TASS.
“About two weeks have passed since the last meeting on the Zaporozhye NPP, during which time the situation with nuclear safety at it has degraded even more,” Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation around the facility.
According to the diplomat, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to shell the territory of the station, the city of Energodar, creating the risk of a radiation accident at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant “with catastrophic consequences for the entire European continent.”
