“Meet the International Anti-Corruption Foundation”. The Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, who is serving a nine-year sentence for fraud in a penal colony, announced on Telegram.
“The fund will be completely transparent and clear and the first contribution to its existence is the Sakharov prize of the European Parliament which I won”, he added, explaining that the Belgian deputy Guy Verhofstadt, the American writer Anne Applebaum and the American political scientist Francis Fukuyama who on Twitter said he was “honored” to participate in the initiative.
Vladimir Putin will not be able to destroy this International Foundation, added Navalny whose anti-corruption foundation, which became famous for the revelations on corruption and abuses of the Russian government, was banned in Russia about a year ago.
