Natural cosmetics: “It’s a myth that wrinkles disappear with just one cream”

For her new care line, Susanne Kaufmann was inspired by homeopathic gemmotherapy. In an interview, the beautician reveals what that means and why a good mood is the best anti-aging product.

Ms. Kaufmann, you have just launched a new regenerating care line. What can it do that your previous products cannot?

As with many new products, inspiration came from the needs of my own skin. I had the feeling that my skin was becoming more demanding and needed something more, efficient skin care that was still light in texture. I also wanted to develop a line that doesn’t use hyaluronic acid and collagen to balance out the dryness of the skin, but instead teaches the skin to regenerate itself. The focus was on gemmotherapy from homeopathy. This is a form of phytotherapy in which only young, dividing tissue of plants, which can be found in buds and young shoots, is used to produce medicines. These buds contain the most stem cells and can stimulate collagen formation. There are also Schuessler salts and medicinal plant extracts that have a moisturizing effect, as well as cold-pressed oils that have an antioxidant effect.
