NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Tuesday that the alliance will provide Ukraine with air defense systems in the coming days.
Speaking at a security conference in the German capital Berlin, Stoltenberg added that the alliance will intensify shipments of air defense systems that it provides to Ukraine.
“The most important thing we can do is deliver what the allies have promised, but rather step up and deliver more air defense systems,” he stressed.
“In the coming days, NATO will provide anti-aircraft systems to counter the threat of these aircraft,” he added.
During the past few days, the defense ministers of NATO member states held a meeting at the alliance’s headquarters in the Belgian capital, Brussels, part of which was devoted to discussing the Ukrainian crisis.
