Journalismfund European independent non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the best investigative journalism in Europe, has selected the deputy director of Public, Nacho Calleas a new member of your Advisory Council.
Calle will become part of this organization as a Spanish representative. Journalismfund has taken into account the career of this investigative journalist as well as his professional profile. In addition to being part of the management team of Publicis president of the Association of Investigative Journalists of Spain (API)which recently organized, together with the Institute of Press and Society (IPYS)the Latin American Conference of Investigative Journalism (COLPIN)which took place for the first time in Spain.
Journalismfund Europe is an organization founded in 1998 and based in Brussels. Its main mission is Strengthening democracy in Europe by promoting investigative journalism independent and cross-border. It acts as an intermediary between donors and journalists, guaranteeing editorial independence and promoting transparency and accountability in the journalistic field.
The International Advisory Board of Journalismfund Europe, to which Nacho Calle now joins, is made up of representatives of associations and investigative journalism centers, as well as prominent professionals in the journalistic community. Its main functions are to guide the organization in its activities and strategies; advise on the selection of jury members for grant calls; and provide their opinion and analysis on support needs in the field of journalism.
This council acts as an international advisory group which enriches the network in which Journalismfund Europe operates and seeks to ensure that the organization maintains a strong connection with the investigative journalism community in Europe.
