The Muslim Council of Elders’ pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair organized a symposium that reviewed the role of women and their achievements in society under the title: “A Reading of the Book of Concern for Female Rights,” presented by Dr. Radwan Al-Sayed, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz Al-Haddad, member of the Council of Muslim Elders, chief mufti and director of the Fatwa Department in Dubai, member of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, and a number of officials.
Dr. Radwan Al-Sayyid affirmed his appreciation for the Council’s efforts in issuing and publishing books that celebrate the ancient Islamic heritage and its enlightened moderate thought, especially books that focus on highlighting the role of women, their achievements, and their participation in various areas of life.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz Al-Haddad explained that the book Concern for Female Rights was keen to clarify the legal rulings of Islam in the jurisprudence of women, affirm their rights, and the importance of empowering, teaching and educating women.
