Swedish artist Rasmus Gozzi denies the accusations that the listening numbers of his songs on the streaming service Spotify were manipulated. This is reported by the Swedish public broadcasting company SVT.
“The last few weeks have been tough because of the unfounded rumors that have been circulating around us. We want to emphasize once again that we have never manipulated our listening numbers [suoratoistopalveluissa]”, Rasmus Gozzi writes on Instagram.
HS told in mid-January, that Rasmus Gozzi and Fröken Snuskin hit songs had been removed from Spotify due to suspicions of manipulation.
Melodifestivalen participant Fröken Snusk denied on Monday Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet in the interview, that the listening volumes of his songs had been manipulated.
Suspicions were raised in December, when the daily listening numbers of songs released months earlier multiplied on one day and then returned to the previous level.
Spotify has also said that it suspects stream manipulation. Streaming times can be purchased from paid services.
by Rasmus Gozzi and Fröken Snuski's production represents the so-called epadunk style. The songs have musical influences from, for example, Swedish dance pop, hip-hop and sometimes also folk music.
