Trujillo Suárez has been designated to review the plays in the VOR room
He Technical Committee of Referees announced this morning the referee appointments corresponding to the tenth day of LaLiga EA Sports. He Betis will face the Osasuna this Saturday at 4:15 p.m. in El Sadar. The meeting will be directed by Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz from the field of play, while Daniel Jesús Trujillo Suarez will be in charge of reviewing controversial actions from the VOR room.
Since joining LaLiga during the 2021-22 season, the Galician has whistled for the Verdiblanco team in five games. With Muñiz Ruiz, Manuel Pellegrini’s team has never lost, obtaining a balance of three wins and two draws. The last precedent is found in the last campaign, when he directed the Betis-Almeria on matchday 35. A match in which the Betic team won 3-2 with the goals from Fornals, Isco and Ayoze.
However, the first time he called Betis it was a quite controversial game. He Rayo-Betis of the 2021-22 season was marked by the decisions of Muñiz Ruiz: expulsion of Álex Moreno after a clearance in which Isi lowered his head and ended up hitting him. Another of the most protested actions of this clash was a possible penalty by Catena’s hands within the area. It should be noted that it was his first season in First Division.
This Saturday, Manuel Pellegrini’s team will seek its first victory of the season as a visitor against Vicente Moreno’s Osasuna.
