The Director of Projects Department and External Aid at the Sharjah Charity Society said: The Society has drilled 3,403 wells and 15 water desalination plants. The group wedding project was implemented to benefit 50 grooms in the Republic of Kenya, while food baskets were distributed at a cost of a quarter of a million dirhams.
Al Ali stressed that the number of the association’s sponsors during the first half of this year amounted to 27,055, who were divided into five categories: 26,547 orphans, 358 needy families, 83 cases of imams and teachers, 57 cases of people with disabilities, and 10 orphans of science students. Pointing out that the association implemented projects for the care of the sponsored on a regular basis, on a monthly basis, through financial allocations amounting to 31.6 million dirhams, which included all aspects of comprehensive care that guarantees these orphans a decent life after the death of their relatives.
