Mugeju, the mutual society of employees of the Justice administration, has called today on the unions to report on their situation in the face of the complicated reality that Muface is experiencing, after declare desert the competition due to the lack of offers from medical entities, and the statements by members of the Government announcing the dismantling of Muface or the sale of the notable assets of this mutual society.
The reason for Mugeju’s call is to inform about the departure of Sanitas, DKV and Mapfrewhich means that only three insurers remain: Asisa, Adeslas and Nueva Mutua Sanitaria, which will have to provide health coverage to 92,000 people. The current concert ends on December 31, and the atmosphere that is perceived is instability before what is to come.
Last month, CSIF reported that it was able to learn that the price of the tender for the new health agreement increased by 11.73% with respect to the previous one. In money, this increase represents a total tender price of 175 million euros for the next two years, with an average of 87.5 million euros per year. This rise is lower by almost six points to that offered by the Government in Muface, and moves away from the request of the insurers, who asked for an increase of 40% in the amount to be received for taking charge of the health care of mutual members.
The Independent Trade Union and Civil Servants Central (CSIF) has warned of its concern about the possibility of bankruptcy of the model. This would result in thousands of mutual members, as happened with Muface, entering a period of uncertainty as the quality of their healthcare deteriorates.
CSIF indicates that, according to their knowledge, medical appointments are already being canceled and suspending interventions. They once again emphasize their concern, especially for the mutualists, who find themselves abandoned, many with serious illnesses. From the union center they demand that Mugeju guarantee sufficient resources and adequate financing to guarantee the sustainability of health mutualism, in order to continue providing quality health care.
Similarly, CSIF denounces that it urged Mugeju the advancement of the meeting of its General Council. However, this meeting is held on December 12, as planned. The mutual society already provided some information last Tuesday, November 19, and finally the urgent call for a meeting for the unions has arrived.
In turn, CSIF has assured that it will continue with its campaign to defend administrative mutualism, under the motto “NO PLAYING WITH THE HEALTH OF OFFICERS.” Therefore, they announce that the next December 16 They will take to the streets again to demand their defense of the administrative mutualism model.
