During the last CES 2024, MSI presented a rich lineup of gaming monitors that will arrive throughout the year. Apparently, however, the Taiwanese company still has some surprises to reveal: the red dragon's engineers are in fact working on three new QD-OLED monitors dedicated to gaming which will bring panels produced by Samsung and which will arrive on the market shortly. Here's what we know.
Samsung display up to 240 Hz
The existence of the new monitors was revealed by @kuroberumo, who published the characteristics of the new MSI products on the pages of
The top model of the range will be theMPG 241CQPX QD-OLED, featuring a 34.18-inch glossy panel with anti-glare filter, an 1800R curvature and UWQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. The display with Samsung technology will be able to reach 1000 nits of peak brightness, with a nominal brightness of 250 nits and True Black 400 certification. The refresh rate will instead be 240 Hz.
The MAG 321UP QD-OLED it will be the second model to mount the same Samsung panel in the 31.5 inch variant, with UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. Closing the lineup will be the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2a 26.5-inch monitor with 2560 x 1440-inch WQHD resolution and up to 240 Hz refresh rate.
All three monitors from MSI they will be equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DP 1.4a port. At the moment an official release date has not been announced and we are not aware of the prices of the individual products. The dragon house will most likely provide new details at the next Computex 2024 scheduled for June: in the same context AMD could definitively reveal the Zen 5 architecture and its new processors from the Granite Ridge range.
