Motorcycle sales rose 4.5% in January compared to the first month of last year, reaching 89,700 units. In comparison with December, there was a 20.2% drop in the market for new motorcycles, reported this Wednesday Fenabrave, an association that represents dealerships.
When commenting on the result, the president of Fenabrave, José Maurício Andreta Júnior, observed that the demand remains heated in the two-wheel segment, but the low levels of inventory at the dealerships and the increase in credit are “challenges to be overcome”.
“Sales are stabilized at a good level, but the difficulty of credit and the normalization of production are issues for which we are attentive”, said Andreta Júnior.
Handsome leader in this market, Honda accounted for 75.2% of all motorcycles sold in Brazil last month. Vice-leader, Yamaha was with 18.9%.
