MotoGP | Opposing moods in VR46: Diggia seeks confirmation, Bezzecchi seeks redemption

It will be a tricolor June 2nd at Mugello for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team on track, on Sunday on the Tuscan circuit, for the Italian GP. A magical atmosphere and many fans await Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi to fight in the top group in front of the home crowd.

Di Giannantonio, fresh from his first Top 5 with the team and among the protagonists of the Official Pre Event of the race, is among the most consistent riders in the Championship – always in the top ten in the Sunday GPs and currently ninth overall with 62 points – and ready to have his say on a track that he loves and that can adapt well to his driving style (pole position here in 2022 ed.).

“When I think about Mugello I always have my heart set in my eyes: it’s a fantastic track and the atmosphere of the fans is magical, both those in the stands and those who animate the hills around the circuit during all three days. I hope there are lots of people , lots of yellow, we need all their support. We are close, we are coming from the first Top 5 with the team, we are consistent and this is a very important aspect, I want to do well, we don’t have much left to fight up front”, he said Diggia.

Called to turn the page after a really complicated weekend in Catalonia, Bezzecchi who achieved second place in the Sprint here last year. Tenth in the standings (42 points ed.), he is working to rediscover the positive sensations riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP and return to the leading group.

“I’m always happy to race at Mugello, a truly special place. The track is certainly one of my favourites, perhaps my absolute favourite, some sequences of corners are among the most spectacular of the entire calendar. Then there’s the atmosphere: the atmosphere of home, the cheering and all the fans who animate the hills around the circuit for the three days of the race. We come from a difficult GP, we will continue to work on the aspects that put us in a bit of a crisis Barcelona, ​​we don’t give up and we hope to have a great weekend right in front of our fans. I will also have a special helmet, it’s beautiful and I can’t wait to show it to you on Saturday”, added the Rimini native.
