This morning, a few minutes before the start of the Warm-Up, Ducati unveiled the celebratory livery of the Desmosedici GP with which Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini will contest the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix and with which they have already taken to the track in the session 10 minutes ago this morning. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer had already anticipated that the fairings would be blue in homage to the Italian national teams, given that the Olympics will be staged in Paris this summer, but there will also be the European football championships.
“The Italian national teams give emotions to millions of Italians and we feel we are doing the same during race weekends, representing our country on circuits all over the world. On the occasion of our home Grand Prix at Mugello we therefore chose to create a bond between the Red passion that distinguishes us on the track and the Blue color that unites us in sport”, explained Mauro Grassilli, Sports Director, Marketing and Communication of Ducati Corse, on the day this initiative was announced.
No big surprise, therefore, with blue acting as the dominant colour, but also with white inserts on the front fins, on the tank and on the tail, where the Tricolor of our flag is also clearly visible. Then a small red part remains, made necessary by the presence of the main sponsor Lenovo, while the lower part of the fairing, the one occupied by the Monster brand, is black as in the traditional red colour.
