Ducati has presented almost the entire “army” with which it will try to defend the triple crown won in MotoGP last year. After Gresini Racing in Cervia last week and the Factory Team on Monday in Madonna di Campiglio, today was the turn of Pramac Racing, which chose the Sky Sport venue for its launch event.
For the third consecutive year, the veteran Johann Zarco and the rising star Jorge Martin will share the garage of Paolo Campinoti’s team, and both will be able to count on a Desmosedici GP23, therefore with a configuration identical to those of the two official riders, the world champion Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini.
The Frenchman is still looking for his first victory in the premier class, even if astride the Ducati he has already shown that he can be a constant presence in the top positions: in the two years in which he wore the Pramac colors, in fact, he was able to on the podium on eight occasions, also finishing the 2021 World Championship in fifth place.

“I’m very happy to stay here. We have a great team, a great bike and I have a great relationship with Jorge, so I think we have what it takes to have a great season and, who knows, maybe even a win,” he said. Zarco.
2023, on the other hand, will be a fundamental season for the continuation of the Madrid-born’s career, who last year had to deal with the burning disappointment of being preferred Bastianini in the race to the official team. However, strengthened by the possibility of having the same material, “Martinator” seems determined to do great things and maybe even attract the attention of some other brand if they shouldn’t show the interest from Borgo Panigale that it believes it deserves.
“I can’t wait to get started and to get back to working with the whole team. Last year was a special year, with very difficult moments, but it helped me grow and become stronger. I have big goals, a lot of ambition and I’m convinced that, together with my team, we’re capable of doing great things. In Sepang, when I get on my Ducati, I’ll know that all the work done during the winter break has paid off. We’re ready.” Spanish.

The novelty compared to the recent past is the arrival of Gino Borsoi on the wall, with whom it is hoped to be able to open a new course full of satisfactions like the one with Francesco Guidotti. The former driver from Veneto, back from a very long period at Team Aspar, is known above all for being a great talent scout. And this is a fundamental quality for what is to all intents and purposes the Ducati “B” team, the one called upon to help the youngsters of the brand grow.
“This year’s goal is the same that we set ourselves at the beginning of each season: to be the best independent team and to fight against all the factory teams,” Campinoti explained during the presentation. “The results of recent seasons have served to demonstrate to the world that our team is one of the protagonists of the MotoGP, that our riders are always fighting for important positions and that the people who make up the team make it one of the most envied teams in the paddock”.
As for the livery, the colors are still quite similar to those of 2022, with Prima remaining the main sponsor and with purple being the dominant color on the white background. Compared to last year, however, there are also larger portions of the red that recalls Pramac, especially on the windshield and in the lower part of the fairing. The fins alongside the airbox, previously all white, have now turned partially purple.
