A pensioner from Moscow agreed to give money to scammers, replacing it with paper
A Moscow pensioner joked about the scammers who introduced themselves to her as FSB officers. About it reports Telegram channel “Sapa”.
The attackers told the woman that unknown people were trying to withdraw money from her bank account, so the funds urgently needed to be transferred to a new and safe one. The pensioner withdrew 250 thousand rubles from the bank, but realized in time that they were trying to deceive her.
An elderly woman contacted the police. And although the Ministry of Internal Affairs recommended that she refuse to meet with a “reliable person” who needed to transfer money, the woman decided to do it her way. On the appointed day, she met with the scammers’ courier and handed him a package of cut paper.
It is not reported how the courier reacted to this when he looked into the package. In addition, it is unknown whether he was detained by police who knew about the planned meeting.
Earlier, the Central Bank published the most popular phrases of telephone scammers, upon hearing which you should immediately hang up. In particular, you should be wary when you hear phrases such as “special or secure account”, “help detain scammers”, “SIM card is expiring”.
